Škoda is among the best-selling car brands in Denmark, and models such as Octavia, Fabia, Superb, Kodiaq, Karoq, Enyaq and Elroq are everywhere in the capital region. Many of them have a camera on the windshield that the driver assistants use.
What Škoda says about the camera and the windshield
Škoda describes how Lane Departure Warning uses the camera in the windscreen to detect lane boundaries and road markings, and how systems such as adaptive lane keeping, traffic sign recognition and automatic high beam (Light Assist) also use the camera at the windscreen and rear-view mirror. Writing about glass repairs, Škoda itself says that both the shape of the glass and the performance of the car’s sensors and driver assistants matter, and that calibration must be precise.

What we need to quote your Škoda
- The registration number. We use it to look up model, year and variant, so we don’t have to guess which glass the car has.
- Photos of the damage — ideally one close-up and one from further back, so we can see where on the glass it is.
- A photo of the area behind the rear-view mirror, if you can. That is typically where the camera and sensors sit, and it helps us confirm the equipment.
- Your answers about equipment in the quote wizard (camera, rain sensor, heated windshield, head-up display). If you’re unsure, answer “don’t know” — that’s better than a guess.
Equipment that can change which glass fits
The same Škoda model comes with different equipment. Whether the glass has a camera, a rain and light sensor or heating, and whether the car has a head-up display, determines which glass fits. If you’re unsure, send a photo of the area behind the rear-view mirror — we can usually see what’s there.
How the replacement works
We replace the glass at the address you give us, at home or at work, when conditions allow the bonding work. When the camera sits on the glass, the quote states what needs to happen to it after the replacement. If your car needs calibration, our own team carries it out at a separate, suitable location — not at your address. The location, logistics and price are agreed with you before anything is booked.
Frequently asked questions about Škoda
Do all Škoda models have a camera in the windshield?
No. It depends on the model, year and equipment. We look the car up from the registration number and confirm it with your answers and photos.
Does Lane Assist need calibrating after a windshield replacement?
When the camera sits on the windshield, we need to make sure it works correctly after the replacement. What that requires for your car is stated in the quote before you say yes.
Do you replace glass on the Enyaq and Elroq?
Yes. We replace glass on all Škoda models, including the EVs. See also EV glass.
Can you replace the glass on my Škoda company car?
Yes. Let us know who should receive the quote, and whether a leasing company or insurer has to approve the job first.
