A van is a working tool, and damaged glass usually needs replacing without disrupting the working day more than necessary. AutoRudeExpress replaces glass on vans of all brands and models — including electric vans — as a mobile service in Copenhagen and roughly 50 km around it.
Which glass
- Windshield — including heated windshields and windshields with cameras and sensors.
- Side windows — in the cab and, where the van has them, in sliding doors and side panels.
- Rear windows — in rear doors or a tailgate, depending on how the van is built.
Equipment varies a lot
Vans come in many versions — different lengths, heights, door configurations and equipment levels. We therefore start from the license plate and the van’s actual equipment, for example whether the windshield is heated or has a camera and sensors behind it. Whether the specific glass is available, and when, is checked for each vehicle. We don’t keep glass in stock; the right glass is ordered once you have accepted the quote.
Planned around the working day
We agree a time and place with you — for example at your company address or wherever the van is parked during the day. The job requires space around the vehicle, firm ground and weather that allows bonding; if that isn’t possible, we find another time or place. When the van can be used again after a replacement depends on the adhesive and materials used — you get specific instructions when the job is done.
Calibration
If the van has a camera or sensors behind the windshield, calibration may be needed after a windshield replacement — this depends on the vehicle and the manufacturer’s instructions. When calibration is needed, our own team carries it out — but not at your address. Calibration takes place at a separate, suitable location, and we agree the location, logistics and price with you before anything is booked. Read more about ADAS calibration.
Insurance and quote
Cover and excess depend on the insurance for the van. See our insurance page and prices and payment. We only start once you have approved the agreed scope and price.
Frequently asked questions about vans
Can you come to our company address?
As a rule, yes — as long as there is space around the vehicle, firm ground and the weather allows the work. We agree the address with you in advance.
Do you have the glass in stock?
No. The right glass is ordered for your specific van once you have accepted the quote. When it can be delivered depends on the glass.
Do you also replace glass on electric vans?
Yes. The replacement depends on the vehicle’s equipment, not the drivetrain. Read more about glass for electric vehicles.
