Here is the whole process — from starting the quote wizard to the glass being replaced. Nothing is binding until you have accepted the quote.
1. You send a request
The quote wizard takes you through eight short steps:
-
Registration number
We look up the number and get the correct details about the car. If you don’t know it, you can enter the make and model.
-
The damage
Windshield, stone chip, side window, rear window — or “don’t know”.
-
Equipment
Only the questions relevant to the damage: camera, sensors, heating and head-up display. Answer “don’t know” if you’re unsure.
-
Insurance
Whether you want to use your insurance, and if so, which company.
-
Photos
Optional but helpful: one close-up of the damage, one from further back, and ideally one of the area behind the rear-view mirror.
-
Address
Where the car will be when the work is done — your address or workplace, not a workshop.
-
Contact
Name, phone and email, so we can send you the quote.
-
Overview and send
You see your answers together, can correct them and send the request.
2. We prepare the quote
We go through your information and work out which glass your car needs — the same model can have different glass depending on camera, sensors, heating and head-up display. We check whether the glass can be sourced, whether the car needs calibration and how the job can be scheduled. If anything is unclear, we contact you before giving a price.
3. You get a specific quote
The quote shows what’s included and what may be priced separately — such as calibration. If you use insurance, your own share and the payment are clarified before the work is carried out. See Prices and payment and Insurance.
4. We agree time and place
If you accept, we agree a time and place. When we can come depends on whether the glass has to be sourced, and on scheduling — you get a specific suggestion, not an up-front promise. The place needs space around the car, and the car must be allowed to stand there for the whole job.
5. The replacement
We replace the glass at the agreed address when the weather and conditions allow bonding. If conditions aren’t right on the day, we’d rather agree a new time than compromise on the installation. See Mobile glass service.
6. Calibration, if the car needs it
If the car has a camera or sensors that need calibrating, our own team carries out the calibration at a separate, suitable location — not at your address. The location, logistics and price are agreed before anything is booked. See ADAS calibration.
7. Handover and warranty
At handover we go through the work with you and tell you when the car can be driven and what to look out for. You have a 2-year warranty on installation and watertightness from handover. See Quality and warranty.
