ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Many newer cars use a camera behind the windshield, often supplemented by sensors elsewhere on the car, for features such as lane assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and traffic sign recognition.
Why a windshield replacement can require calibration
The camera sees the road through the windshield, and its position and angle must match the car’s geometry precisely. When the windshield is replaced, even small differences can mean the camera no longer reads the road quite correctly. That’s why the camera may need calibrating after a replacement. Whether and how this must be done depends on the car and the manufacturer’s instructions.
We calibrate ourselves — but not at your address
The windshield replacement itself happens as a mobile service at your location. Calibration is different: our own team carries it out at a separate, suitable location — not at your address. We agree the location, logistics and price with you before anything is booked, so you know exactly how the process will work before you say yes.
What decides whether your car needs calibration?

- the manufacturer’s instructions for the specific model and equipment
- which assistance features the car has
